SEC 01 // SYSTEM RECORD
RPB PX5 PAPR
RPB's (GVS-RPB) modular powered air-purifying respirator: a belt- or backpack-mounted blower/filter unit (PX5) that is NOT itself the headtop. The PX5 draws ambient air through a snap-in filter cartridge (HE / OV-AG-HE / Multi-Gas) fitted directly into the PX5 housing, then pushes filtered air up a separate breathing tube into whichever approved loose-fitting headtop the wearer has selected (Z-Link, Z-Link+, Z-Link Radiant Heat, Z4, Z3, T-Link, T200, T300 Sterile, Nova 3). Approved by NIOSH (US) and certified to EN 12941 (UK/EU) and AS/NZS 1716:2012 (AU/NZ).

Notes
Do not confuse the PX5 with RPB's HX5 PAPR (same filter part numbers for HE, but the HX5 is NOT compatible with the OV/Gas cartridges — see the "PAPR filters" datasheet's Compatible-with table, "*The HX5 is not compatible with OV and Gas Filters"). No HX5 records created in this pass — out of scope for this assignment.

- [06] www.gvs-rpb.com manufacturer page Current official PX5 product page. Lists compatible headtops as "Z-Link, Z-Link+, Z-Link Radiant Heat, Z4, T-Link, T200" — notably omitting Z3 and Nova 3, which the 2022 NIOSH-market datasheet lists as compatible. Possible page-content drift or those headtops being deprioritised on the current NA marketing site; the underlying NIOSH approval documents were not re-checked for a Z3/Nova 3 discontinuation notice. Also the only source found for "Z-Link+" as PX5-compatible by name. 2026-07-06
