RPB PX5 PAPR

Avertissement générations et numéros de pièce : Architecture: the PX5 is one of three "required components" of a complete approved system — (1) PX5 blower/filter unit, (2) breathing tube assembly, (3) approved respirator headtop (RPB CE instruction manual Form 7.20.569 Rev 5, p.9, "Make sure you have a complete system"). The filter cartridge (HE 03-892/03-892-P, OV/AG/HE 03-893/03-893-A2, or Multi-Gas 03-894/03-894-ABE/03-895-ABEK) snaps into the PX5 housing itself, not into the headtop — the headtop only carries the visor/cape/face-seal and the far end of the breathing tube. Two breathing-tube part numbers exist because the coupler differs: 04-831 fits Z-Link, Z4, Nova 3 and T-Link; 04-832 is Z3-specific (PX5 Technical Data Sheet Form 7.20.452 R10, p.3). Regional split: NIOSH-market headtops (Z3, Nova 3) are NOT sold/approved in CE & AS/NZS markets — the Nov-2022 PX5 Technical Data Sheet (Form 7.20.452 R10, p.1) explicitly separates "Compatible with NIOSH Markets: Nova 3, T200, T-Link, Z-Link, Z3, Z4" from "CE & AS/NZS Markets: T200, T-Link, Z-Link, Z4" — Z3 and Nova 3 have no CE/AS-NZS filter or breathing-tube SKU equivalent. The CE instruction manual's own "Apparatus Classification and Protection Factor" table (Form 7.20.569 Rev 5, p.6, Table 1.1) lists five CE/AS-NZS headtop rows (Z-Link, T-Link, Z4, T200, T300 Sterile) each with its own EN 12941 class and nominal protection factor: Z-Link = TH3/2 (APF 500/50), T-Link = TH3 (APF 500), Z4 = TH2 (APF 50), T200 = TH3 (APF 500), T300 Sterile = TH3 (APF 500, all combination filters except 03-896-ABEKHg). Z-Link+ is marketed as PX5-compatible on the current product page but does not appear as its own row in that table — likely grouped under the Z-Link classification, but this is not confirmed by a primary source and should not be assumed without checking the Z-Link+ headtop's own instruction manual. Known cross-document inconsistency (RPB's own documents disagree, flagging per the ESAB precedent): the Nov-2022 PX5 Technical Data Sheet (Form 7.20.452 R10) prints the certification block as "EN12941:1998 +A2:2008 TH3/2 P R SL". The June-2025 PAPR Filters Technical Data Sheet (Form 7.20.621 R2) and the current (©2025) CE instruction manual (Form 7.20.569 Rev 5, cover page and p.5 "Equipment Marking") both cite "EN12941:2023 TH3" instead — a newer edition of the standard. Treat the 2025 documents as current; the 2022 datasheet's standard-edition reference is stale (RPB has not reissued that data sheet since).
