Body text (page 20) states: "The pre-filter should be changed at least as frequently as the HE filter. The pre-filter and HE filter should be changed if the battery pack operating time becomes shortened or if the low air flow alarm is activated." Cannot be washed/reused — this is a disposable item, unlike the metal spark arrestor.
