What is the Trend Air Pro Airshield?

The Trend Airshield Pro (AIR/PRO) is an all-in-one, self-contained powered air respirator: the blower, visor and hood are built into one head-mounted unit, with no separate belt-mounted blower or hose. Trend markets it primarily for the woodworking/joinery trade — its own product page describes protection against “hardwood, MDF, brick, concrete and stone dust particles” — and there’s documented crossover interest from grinding and masonry work.

Important: this is not a welding PAPR. It has no welding-fume-rated filter option — it’s a dust respirator only.

Per Trend’s own certification, it’s rated Positive Pressure APF20 (EN 12941:1999 TH2P), with eye protection to EN 166:2002 1B3. (Trend’s spec table separately states “TH2P-S” in places — both figures are Trend’s own published wording.) Airflow is rated at a minimum 160 l/min, and battery runtime is stated as 6 hours on the system spec table (though the battery part’s product title says “8 Hour”). It’s sold as UK/EU, Euro-plug and AU/NZ SKU variants, each with region-specific approvals and plugs.
