What is the JSP PowerCap Infinity PAPR powered respirator?

Updated 2026-07-07

The PowerCap Infinity is JSP’s top-tier powered air respirator (PAPR). It’s built around the JSP EVO5 Olympus industrial safety helmet (EN 397), fitted with a Twin-Turbo blower unit, TH3P-class filters, and a panoramic EN 166 impact visor. Per JSP’s official product documentation it delivers 160 litres/minute of filtered air and is certified to EN 12941:1998+A2:2008 class TH3P, giving a nominal protection factor of 500 (UK APF 40). It runs on an 8-hour Li-ion PowerBox2 battery.

It uses its own CEU1xx / CAU660 / AKG179 spare-parts numbering, which is not interchangeable with JSP’s lower-tier PowerCap Active / Active IP line (a different, TH1P-rated system built on a bump-cap shell, using CAU0xx/CAU3xx parts).

Because this is a respiratory-protection product, always check that any replacement part is on the manufacturer’s own approved list, and rely on the approval label and EN 12941 classification on your specific unit before returning it to service.
