What battery does a Viking 3350 take?
Updated 2026-07-07
For Lincoln’s Viking PAPR (the powered-air version of the Viking 3350 helmet, sold as complete systems K3930-4 and K3930-6), there are two manufacturer-listed Li-ion battery options, verified against Lincoln’s own publication EE14.747:
- Standard battery, KP3937-1 — rated 9 hours runtime at 180 lpm, roughly 3 hours to charge. Ships in the K3930-4 system.
- Extended battery, KP3938-1 — rated 16 hours runtime at 180 lpm, roughly 4.5 hours to charge. Ships in the K3930-6 system.
Both batteries are Li-ion, rated for 500 charge cycles, and use the same charger, KP3932-1 (115 V).
Note this is specifically the Viking PAPR (welding-PAPR) battery — not the battery/power source for a Viking auto-darkening lens on its own, which is a separate component. Always check your unit’s own parts label or manual to confirm which system and battery you have before ordering a replacement.
