JSP PowerCap Active / PowerCap Active IP PAPR
JSP's entry-level powered air respirator: a firm-fitting, self-contained headtop (integrated JSP Hardcap A1+ bump-cap shell) with a hook-and-loop attached polycarbonate visor, rated EN 12941 TH1P at 160 l/min airflow and an 8-hour PowerBox1 battery. The PowerCap Active IP variant swaps in a rivet-mounted impact faceshield (EN 166) for flying-particle work. Sold and supported as a UK/EU product line; JSP's corporate site (jsp.co.uk) now redirects to jspsafety.com.

Uwagi
Distinct from PowerCap Infinity (higher TH3P-class system with EVO5 Olympus helmet — see jsp-powercap-infinity.yaml). An internal research audit (Research1.md / Verify-Research1.md) claimed "JSP PowerCap Active/Infinity = Axminster APF10 Evolution" (i.e. a rebadge sold by Axminster Tools) and "US-exclusive via Peke Safety — a single-source parts-availability risk." NEITHER claim was checked against a primary Axminster or Peke Safety source in this pass — flagging both as needs-primary-verification, not fact, per Verify-Research1.md's own caveat ("Active/Infinity/Axminster relationships need verification"). Do not publish the Axminster-equivalence or Peke-exclusivity claims as verified facts until an Axminster product page or Peke Safety catalogue page is fetched and cited directly.

- [01] www.jspsafety.com manufacturer page Official JSP Safety product page for CAE601-941-100. Verbatim: "Conforms to and complies with EN 12941 & EN 812" and "Powered Air Respiratory protection to EN 12941:1988 TH1P. Assigned Protection Factor 10 (UK classification) equivalent to an EN 149 FFP2," and "The cap uses JSP Hardcap A1+™ bump cap technology, exceeding the A1 version of EN 812." Airflow "160 litres per minute," runtime "8 hours," battery "The new PowerBox™1 battery pack features a micro USB connection for simpler, faster charging" with "A built-in fuel gauge" reporting battery level on demand. Battery chemistry (e.g. lithium-ion vs lithium-polymer) is NOT disclosed anywhere on this page — do not state or imply a specific chemistry without a source that names one. NOTE: the page's own body text prints the standard year as "EN 12941:1988" — almost certainly a typo for EN 12941:1998 (the only edition of that standard), but quoted here verbatim per the site as of this fetch; treat "1988" as a probable manufacturer-site typo, not a distinct standard revision. 2026-07-06
- [02] www.jspsafety.com manufacturer page Official JSP Safety product page for CAE602-941-100 (PowerCap Active IP). Verbatim: "Conforms to EN 166, EN 812+A1, EN 12941+A2 TH1P" and "designed to protect the user from dust and most airborne particulate pollutants to EN 12941+A2 TH1P." Confirms impact faceshield to EN 166 (0.75mm polycarbonate, aluminium edges, rivet-mounted), 160 l/min airflow, PowerBox1 battery, and that the IP kit ships with two TH1P filters and one PowerBox1 pack. This page's standard-year text is consistent (no "1988"/"1998" discrepancy). 2026-07-06
